Yes. There are no paid tiers, packages, or subscriptions here — unlike some other missing pet services. 100% Local!
Does it find nearby vets?
Vet matching is coming soon — we're working on covering the full Dublin area first before turning this feature on.
What should I actually do if my pet just went missing?

Do reports need approval before going public?
No — reports go live immediately so you can start reaching out to vets and neighbours right away. Reports stay visible for 90 days (renewable), and there's still a moderation system in the background to remove spam or fake reports after the fact.
What happens after 90 days?
Your listing stops showing publicly, but you can renew it for another 90 days anytime using your report ID and email at renew.html. Your report ID is shown right after you submit — worth saving it.
Should I report a found stray to the council?
Yes — under Irish law, stray dogs are handled by each council's dog warden service, separate from Facebook or vets. See Local Resources for Dublin-area council contacts.
How does "Found a Pet" work?
If someone finds a pet matching a report, they submit a message through this site. It's relayed to the owner's email without exposing either person's contact details publicly on the page.
What's the "Reveal contact info" button?
Each report also has a phone number or social media profile on file. Clicking "Reveal contact info" and solving a quick, free captcha shows that detail directly, so you can reach out on WhatsApp, Facebook, etc. yourself. The captcha exists purely to stop bots from scraping people's phone numbers off the site.
Is my data private?
Reports are stored by whoever runs this site — there's no third-party data sharing built in. You can request for your data to be erased at any time by contacting us.
Can I support this project?
If it's helped you, there's a "Support this project" link at the top of every page — completely optional.
Is it safe to reveal a phone number or Facebook profile?
Any contact info shown this way is provided entirely at the owner's own risk. We don't take responsibility for misuse, harassment, or any damage that results from it — please use good judgement when reaching out.
Can I search by Eircode?
You can try — some Eircodes resolve correctly, but coverage isn't perfect. If it doesn't find your Eircode, just type the street address instead, or drop a pin directly on the map.
I think I'm being scammed by someone claiming to have found my pet — what do I do?
Never send money, gift cards, or payment of any kind to reunite with a pet. Legitimate finders don't ask for fees. If something feels off, stop responding and contact local authorities.
